The circuit to the Cirque de Gavarnie on snowshoes will take 5 hours with 200 m of uphill. It is difficult to imagine just how gigantic Gavarnie is, once here you can appreciate its majesty - immense snowy peaks, frozen waterfalls hundreds of meters high. It is one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes, your walks will lead you to the 1500 m vertical walls of the Cirque and if time allows to the base of the Grand Cascade, the highest waterfall in Europe.
The Plateau de Saugue. 4 hours walking, 350 m uphill. The Saugue plateau offers the very best view over Gavarnie village, the Cirque and the whole frontier ridge with its many 3000 m summits. At 1500 m the panorama in all directions is exceptional. One could just sit and gaze for hours.
The itineraries might be modified depending on weather conditions and the level of the group.
