This dwelling located in the heart of Bagnères that formerly belonged to a large family of painters of the decorative arts has been brought back to life thanks to antiquarian Marie-Christine, who opened in collaboration with her daughter, Caroline, the most fantastic of boutiques, a real Aladdin’s cave, which deals in 18th Century screens, caravan linen, hemp mattresses and church furniture. So when they had to select the finest furnishings for Villa Rose they were spoilt for choice. Each bedroom has a special ambience, telling a story, and making an impression. In the library you can relax into one of the comfortable leather armchairs... In the hallway with its cracked floor, voices resonate in the tea lounge... Time to retire to the bedroom... In the space of an instant, time stands still. Breakfast can be served by the heat from the Godin stove, or in the wood-panelled dining room with its elegant ladies and chocolate theme, or for something a little more intimate, in the tea lounge. Weather-permitting, breakfast can also be enjoyed in the priest’s garden.
