The Aigles d'Aure animal park
A collection of birds of prey and a show with the birds flying in complete liberty.
In an exceptional setting discover eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons and owls. The daily commentated show with these birds flying in liberty offers a fantastic spectacle.

Walks and treks
Within an 8 kilometre radius of Saint Lary there are numerous walks to discover the villages, churches, farm settlements, viewpoints of the valley, all to be discovered at your own pace.
The GR10
Saint Lary is an important stopover on the GR10 between the Néouvielle massif and the Louron valley.
The HRP
The Pyrenean High route passes close to St Lary as it connects Hendaye on the Atlantic to Banyuls on the Mediterranean, keeping as close as possible to the frontier ridge.
The Saint Jacques de Compostelle route
Coming from Saint Bertrand de Comminges in the Haute Garonne the pilgrim route enters the Aure valley at Héchettes, it then follows an ancient path called the Ténarèze alongside the Neste river, then crosses into Spain by the l'Hospice du Rioumajou to enter Aragon at Sobrarbe. This itinerary allows one to discover the magnificent St Jacques heritage.
Nature reserves
The Néouvielle nature reserve
The reserve was created in 1936 making it one of the first in France, it has more than 70 lakes with a rich flora and fauna. Many walking tours are possible, the tour of the Néouvielle (3091m) can be done staying in refuges (5 refuges with guardian in the massif). The National Park has established meeting points and offers themed walks during the summer season.
The Aulon regional nature reserve
Created in 2001 the reserve covers 1237 hectares spreading over 1300 metres of altitude. Situated at the heart of the Aure valley between Saint Lary and Arreau it combines magnificent scenery with a rich biological diversity. It possesses a remarkable flora and fauna. The presence of animals and rare plants typical of the Pyrenees representative of different altitudes bands make it an exceptional place. One of the aims of the reserve is to encourage a political and educational development respectful of Pyrenean biodiversity.
Thrills
In both the Aure valley and the adjacent canyons of Aragon many water activities are available and for all tastes - rafting, hot dog, kayak raft, canyoning.
The Aure is also a great flying valley with flights possible offering 500m and 1200m of descent.
Bike Park in St Lary : 7 - 10 courses for downhill, cross-country and modules. Accessed by the Soum chairlift.
There are way-marked MTB routes offering a variety of circuits on both sides of the border, with Sobrarbe, the Sierra de Guara, and Bardenas desert on the Spanish side and brilliant routes to discover the Aure valley on the French side, discover them independently or with a guide…

La Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées (Pyrenees National Park Centre)
Fauna and flora - permanent exhibitions - slide shows - naturalised animals . For more than 25 years the national park service has protected an area of 46000 hectares with also a further 15000 hectares in the Spanish Ordesa national park.
You will discover a flora with over 400 species and an exceptional fauna.
