The Aure valley is one of the gateways to the Neouvielle Nature Reserve. Dozens of scintillating lakes, century old pines, jagged peaks almost defying gravity… This landcape is a real paradise and easily accessible. It offers a total escape from the world, the peace and quiet of a virgin landscape with so many places to explore. In winter the refuge is accessible either on skis or for pedestrians by cable-car, the ski runs of Saint Lary are close. In summer there are many varied footpaths for sublime walks through enchanted scenery. During the early morning Isards and marmots can be seen.
