‘Charm and Character’ hotel

Your 3 star Logis hotel, classed ‘hotel of charm and character’, and located in the centre of Cauterets, a small Pyrenean holiday resort. With all the air of ‘English ladies’ the two sisters Bernadette and Rose Marie, natives of Cauterets, have created in this grand house a hotel in their own image. Lacework, embroidery, fine pastel bedcovers, and antiques bring lots of character. The rooms are veritable love nests where each detail counts- sachets of lavender on the wardrobes impregnate the air with romanticism. Not to mention the charming patio and the flower filled balconies.

Our range of Hotels of Charm and Character are hotels on a human scale in protected natural settings. You are welcomed as a friend, the décor is carefully designed, the materials used are traditional, the furnishings refined, the colours are meticulously chosen to create a harmony which reflects a particular valley or region.

A real Garden of Eden:

The Pont d'Espagne is one of the more emblematic places in the Pyrenees National Park. The cable-car of Puntas and the Gaube chairlift means one can visit with little effort. There are many walking trails for all levels in a delightful setting of verdant forests, waterfalls and tumbling streams, with superb wild flowers and maybe even the chance to spot an Isard.

Superb skin care at the Bains des Rocher:

A complete package lasting 1 hour 15 minutes to revitalise your skin like never before! Comfortably install yourself into your heated blanket, soothed by the zen music, and relax as you are gently massaged with natural oils. Then follows a gentle exfoliation using Dead Sea salts, to finish with a warm wrap in regenerating and envigorating black mud.

Taste the Cauterets Berlingots:

A local sweet speciality with a thousand and one flavours. Discover how they are made by visiting one of the four sweet shops who are hand-making them in the village.

Visit the Pavillon des Abeilles:

A superb place to discover the world of the bee, with glass fronted hives, videos and of course tastings of their various honeys. A real treat for honey lovers with passionate beekeepers to explain all.
